Our First Look at the New Benda Range in Melbourne

Rain, hail or shine, we weren't going to miss this one.

SergeantWombat and I were invited to attend the launch event for Benda Motorcycles, and despite Melbourne putting on a very rainy day, it was fantastic to see the new bike unveiled and meet some of the people behind the brand.

The event was particularly special because it was SergeantWombat's very first PR invite. It was lovely getting to attend as his guest and watch him do his thing. While Nathan was busy vlogging, checking out the bikes, and chatting with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, I was happily focused on the food.

Which to me was one of the highlights of the night! It was fresh stone-fired pizzas made on the spot by Panza Piena, a family-owned business serving up delicious authentic pizzas throughout the event.

Nathan also had the opportunity to connect with members of the Benda Brisbane team and spend some time chatting with Matt from Benda Melbourne. It was great hearing more about the brand and seeing the passion that the team has for growing the motorcycle community in Australia.

As for the bikes themselves, my personal favourite was the Benda Chinchilla. During the event, I learned that some of Benda's motorcycles are named after cat breeds because the founder is a huge cat lover. Apparently names like the Chinchilla and Napoleon were inspired by his love of cats, which I thought was such a cute and unexpected detail for a motorcycle brand. It instantly made the bike memorable to me.

Nathan's favourite was the Dark Flag V4. With its bold styling, powerful V4 engine and commanding presence, it was easy to see why it stood out to him amongst the lineup. It certainly turned plenty of heads throughout the event.

Something else that impressed us was how much technology has been incorporated into the Benda range. The bikes feature a range of modern rider-focused technology, including digital displays, rider-assistance features and keyless ignition systems.

One feature that caught my attention was the keyless ignition. Instead of needing to keep a traditional key inserted while riding, you can take it out after inserting the key and it detects the key fob when it's nearby, allowing you to keep the motorcycle running without the key in. It's a small detail, but one that feels incredibly convenient and gives the bike a more premium feel.

Overall, it was a fantastic night spent discovering a new brand (at least for me, Nathan has done the research for this brand since last year), meeting passionate people within the motorcycle community, and of course enjoying some great pizza along the way.

A huge thank you to Benda for inviting us along. We're excited to see what's next for the brand and look forward to seeing more of these bikes in Aussie roads.
