Baby Bump in Nature with Anushka

As I’m writing this in 2026 i’ll be turning 30 in two years.

Which has somehow got me thinking a lot more about the future, particularly the fact that I’d love to have kids one day.

But then there’s this other thing I’ve spent years building: my business. And sometimes I genuinely wonder…

How am I supposed to be a full-time mum in the future and a full-time business owner at the same time?

I already find running a business exhausting without a tiny human depending on me (however i do have two very needy rabbits).

Recently though, I’ve been meeting some incredible women who are building businesses, raising families, maintaining relationships, rebuilding their lives and still somehow finding space to be themselves.

I don’t think any of them have found the magical formula for “having it all.”

But they’ve been showing me that there are many different ways to make it work.

So I wanted to start documenting some of the women I’ve been lucky enough to meet, and the little things I’m learning from them along the way.

Welcome to a new blog category: Stories From Her

And this one made me think about something I wasn’t really expecting.

Love. Respect. And what a healthy relationship actually looks like.

One of those women is Anushka. (our current beauty on the website’s landing page)

I first photographed Anushka for her personal branding as an energy healer.

Recently, she came back to Social Sync AU for a completely different reason.

This time, she brought her husband Stef.

And a little human who isn't quite here yet.

They're expecting their first baby. 🤍

We headed down to Flinders for their maternity photoshoot, and Melbourne weather actually gave us some sunshine.

Wind too, obviously. Can't have everything.

Halfway through the shoot, Anushka mentioned how much she loves cows.

There were some far away in the paddock and, as if they'd heard her, they slowly started making their way towards the fence.

I'm choosing to believe Anushka's energy-healer sparkle summoned them.

Naturally, we had to get the photos.

More Than the Woman Behind the Business

The first time I photographed Anushka, I was looking at her through the lens of her business.

This time I got to see another side of her.

A wife.

A soon-to-be mum.

Still a business owner.

And still very much herself.

It was also beautiful watching her and Stef together.

I don't just see people when I photograph them. I observe how they interact and look for the feelings happening between the photos.

The little glances.

The way someone instinctively reaches for their partner.

How they make each other laugh when they're not posing.

You can tell a lot about how someone is loved when they don't realise the camera is watching.

And you could very easily see how much Stef loves Anushka.

What I particularly loved was how completely silly she could be around him while also being this ambitious woman building her own dreams.

Maybe that's something I'm beginning to understand from the women I'm meeting.

Becoming a mother doesn't erase the business owner.

Being a business owner doesn't erase the wife.

Being a wife doesn't erase the individual.

You don't have to stop being one version of yourself just because another version of you is beginning.

And maybe when my own time comes, I won't have to perfectly figure out how to "do it all."

I'll just have to find the version that works for me.

For now, I'm pretty grateful that my work keeps introducing me to women who are showing me what that can look like.

And Anushka is one of them. 🤍

I cant wait to meet baby Cinelli and to take photos of the happy family again in future!
