For this concept, we were inspired by Miu Miu's ability to make the unexpected feel effortlessly cool.
The brand has a unique way of blending classic wardrobe staples with playful, youthful details; mixing vintage influences, preppy silhouettes, and bold styling choices that somehow just work. It's polished without feeling too polished, nostalgic without feeling dated, and always carries a quiet confidence.
Our goal wasn't to recreate a Miu Miu campaign shot for shot, but to capture the feeling behind the brand.
Our incredible stylist, Ebony, interpreted that vision beautifully, curating three distinct looks for each model. Every outfit had its own personality while still feeling connected as one editorial story.
From colourful knitwear and layered tailoring to statement socks, glasses, and pops of colour, each look embraced Miu Miu's playful approach to luxury. The styling encouraged contrast; mixing colours, textures, and proportions in a way that felt intentional yet effortless.
Seeing the mood-boards come to life is always the highlights of the shoot, and it was exciting to watch each look evolve in front of the camera.

The Looks
For Nya, the styling leaned into bold colour and playful contrast. A vibrant lime knit paired with earthy accessories, soft tailoring layered with pastel tones, and a sporty camisole styled with a pleated skirt all embraced the brand's signature mix of youthful energy and refined luxury. Details like coloured eyewear, socks with heels, structured handbags, and layered separates transformed familiar wardrobe pieces into something fresh and unexpected.
Faye embodied a quieter interpretation of Miu Miu; one rooted in timeless silhouettes, thoughtful layering, and subtle moments of play. Rather than relying on bold statement pieces, the styling demonstrated how classic wardrobe staples can be transformed through unexpected proportions, and colour accents, resulting in a collection that felt effortlessly sophisticated yet unmistakably Miu Miu.
Beauty That Completed the Story
The makeup tied each look together beautifully, embracing Miu Miu's balance between polished sophistication and youthful playfulness. Our makeup artists Shanel and Apoorva did a great job adapting to the shoot direction.
Rather than heavy editorial makeup, the beauty direction focused on luminous skin, soft definition and subtle pops of colour that enhanced each model's individuality.
For Faye, the look featured glowing skin, softly flushed cheeks and a warm coral lip that added warmth against the rich burgundy tones of her wardrobe. A wash of cool silver shimmer across the eyes introduced a subtle contrast, creating a look that felt fresh, modern and effortlessly elegant.
For Nya, the makeup remained intentionally refined, allowing her striking features to take centre stage. Fresh, radiant skin and softly defined eyes were paired with a glossy natural lip, while the glasses became an extension of the beauty look itself; adding a playful, fashion-forward element that echoed Miu Miu's signature quirky charm without overpowering the styling.
Together, the beauty direction enhanced the overall concept, proving that makeup doesn't always have to be bold to make an impact. Sometimes, restraint is what allows the fashion, styling and personality of each model to truly shine.
